The New England Patriots need some wide receiver help and one guy they might try to go after is right in their backyard, UMass wideout Andy Isabella.

According to Tony Pauline of NFL Draft Analyst, the team has interest in Isabella, although it's unclear what pick they would want to spend on him. The thought is somewhere around the third round is where he will go.

“Two teams I left out, who a number of people tell me who are really interested in him are the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers,” Pauline said on the Bleav Podcast Network, as transcribed by WEEI.com. “The Patriots make sense in so many ways. This is their type of receiver. A little bit shorter, a little bit undersized, but incredibly quick, incredibly creative, fast, a guy who can produce when the ball is in his hands running after the catch, as well as lining up as a return specialist.”

“……So when you get into the third round area, look at the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers to kind of target Andy Isabella or have him on the list with the other players they really like.”

The Minutemen don't get a ton of national attention but Isabella didn't go unnoticed. Isabella finished his Senior season catching 102 passes for 1,698 yards and 13 touchdowns.

He was also a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, which goes to the best wide receiver in college football. The Patriots have three third-round picks, so don't be surprised if the team uses one of those on Isabella.
