The New England Patriots have formally announced that the AFC East franchise has officially signed two players. According to the official statement released on Monday, the Patriots have signed free-agent wide receiver Dontrelle Inman and free agent offensive lineman Jared Veldheer.

However, as is tradition in the NFL, the financial terms of the tandem of contracts were not disclosed in the team's statement.

The 30-year-old Inman first entered the NFL in July 2011 as a rookie free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars after playing his collegiate football at of Virginia. After being released by the Jaguars at the end of training camp, spent two seasons as a member of the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League while most notably winning won league's Grey Cup in 2012. Spending some time with the San Diego Chargers, Inman spent this past season with the Indianapolis Colts en route to reaching the postseason.

As for Veldheer, the 31-year-old blocker has spent time with three NFL franchises along the way including the Oakland Raiders, Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos. A nine-year NFL veteran, Veldheer has appeared in 118 career regular season games, a stretch that includes with 113 starts. He has also started three postseason games. Veldheer has served as a right tackle, left tackle and center at the professional level.

It is also worth noting that the Patriots have released offensive lineman Calvin Anderson and wide receiver Xavier Ubosi in what have become corresponding roster moves. Both players originally signed with the Patriots as rookie free agents earlier this month.
