The New England Patriots have brought back linebacker Jamie Collins, according to Jim McBride of The Boston Globe. Talks between the two sides were first reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network earlier on Wednesday.

Collins spent the 2018 campaign with the Cleveland Browns, playing in all 16 games and totaling 104 tackles, four sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and four passes defended.

Collins went on to play in all 16 games during his rookie year, finishing with 56 tackles, a fumble recovery and four passes defended. Then, the following season, he racked up 138 stops, four sacks, a couple of picks, four forced fumbles and a pair of fumble recoveries.

The McCall Creek, Ms. native then made his first Pro Bowl in 2015 after registering 89 tackles, 5.5 sacks, an interception, five forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, six passes defended, and a defensive touchdown.

The Pats then traded Collins to the Browns seven games into the 2016 campaign.
