According to a Monday evening report from Adam Schefter of ESPN, the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks have agreed to a trade. The Patriots are shipping third-year tight end Jacob Hollister across the country to Seattle. The Seahawks will send a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft back to New England.

Of course, the Patriots are still looking for the team's newest starting tight end in the absence of the recently retired Rob Gronkowski. One thing is now for certain: Hollister is officially out of the running for such a role.

On the other hand, the Seahawks have become one of the most active teams in the league. They were wheeling and dealing at the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville, Tennessee.

The 24-year-old Jacob Hollister stands at 6'4″ while weighing just under 250 pounds. A former collegiate standout out during his playing days at Wyoming, the tight end will now suit up for his second NFL franchise after spending a total of two seasons in New England.

As a rookie in 2017, Hollister appeared in 15 of the Patriots' 16 regular season games, securing four catches on 10 targets for 42 receiving yards. In what would become his final go-round in New England in 2018, he produced another four receptions for 52 receiving yards, this time on just five targets, while appearing in eight regular season games. It is also worth noting that Jacob Hollister has yet to record his first career touchdown at the NFL level.
