The New England Patriots and the Arizona Cardinals have reportedly agreed to terms on a trade. That trade involves second-year offensive tackle Korey Cunningham.

The Patriots are trading for Cunningham to bolster their offensive line depth, while the Cardinals will be receiving a sixth-round pick in return.

This trade is a little unexpected due to the fact that the Cardinals aren't exactly swimming in offensive line depth. In fact, that's an area that could use some serious bolstering for them. So to get rid of an offensive lineman is a little puzzling.

On the other hand, the Patriots could use some depth as well. Truthfully though, every team would love to have more depth at the offensive line position. That's definitely a spot that you can never have too many bodies at.

It will be interesting to see what New England does with Korey Cunningham. They're very well known for finding diamonds in the rough. Taking players that struggled on other teams (or that the other teams simply weren't using) and turning them into everyday players and sometimes even superstars.

This could be attributed to Bill Belichick's eye for talent or just his ability to get the best out of absolutely everyone who plays for him. Whatever it is though, it's worked plenty in the past.

Could the New England Patriots have big plans for Korey Cunningham? Or is he simply being brought in as depth for their offensive line? A sixth-round pick may not seem like much but the Patriots are known for making very savvy deals. That tells me that there's something more to this than simply depth. They see something in him.

Will Korey Cunningham break out with the New England Patriots? Only time will tell.
