It’s going to be quite a busy week in December for the New England Patriots.

As stated in the NFL schedule reveal earlier tonight, the six-time Super Bowl champions will have to deal with a short week when they play two games in four days.

New England will have their hands full starting in Week 13 in a late afternoon game when they face the new-look Los Angeles Chargers on December 6. The Patriots will then immediately be returning to action on December 10 against their Super Bowl LIII opponents, the Los Angeles Rams, in the nationally-broadcast Thursday Night Football on primetime for Week 14.

As reported by NFL Network’s James Palmer, the Patriots will become the first team since 1970 to play consecutive games in the same stadium just four days apart.

The Patriots will have plenty of opportunities to say hello to one of the NFL’s newest playing grounds in the $5B SoFi Stadium.

Even with the departures of longtime mainstays Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski to Tampa Bay earlier in the offseason, the Patriots remain among the NFL’s hottest commodities with five games set to air nationally on primetime.

New England faces a tough schedule this year since they will have to face five playoff teams from the previous season, including an intriguing showdown on Week 4 when they take on the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs anchored by Patrick Mahomes at Arrowhead Stadium on October 4.

Despite the numerous shakeups in the offseason, New England is still favored to win the AFC East for the twelfth consecutive season.
