Count ESPN analyst and former NFL head coach Rex Ryan among those who would not touch controversial New England Patriots wide receiver Antonio Brown with a 10-foot pole.

Speaking on ESPN's Get Up on Monday morning, Ryan said that he would not sign the wide receiver if he had the chance:

Brown signed with the New England Patriots late last week after being released by the Oakland Raiders, as per his request.

It has been a wild offseason for the 31-year-old, who started things off by demanding a trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers after the 2018 campaign.

The Steelers met his wish, sending him to the Raiders for a third-round draft pick and a fifth-rounder.

But it didn't take long for Brown to wear out his welcome in the Bay.

Brown missed most of training camp due to frostbite on his feet and a prolonged battle with the NFL concerning the usage of his helmet, which is now banned by the league. Brown filed two grievances but lost both of them.

A boiling point was reached last week when Brown was hit with a $54,000 fine by Oakland for missing some time during camp. Displeased over the penalty, Brown posted a photo of the Raiders fine letter on Instagram.

He then confronted Oakland general manager Mike Mayock at practice last Wednesday in a heated dispute that nearly turned physical before linebacker Vontaze Burfict intervened and restrained Brown.

Brown apologized to the team last Friday and seemed prepared to play in the club's season opener on Monday night, but he proceeded to take to Instagram to request his release.

The Raiders released Brown, who immediately signed with the Patriots.
