Rob Gronkowski has been one of the best offensive weapons in the NFL in recent years. But, the New England Patriots tight end has already talked about retirement. Rumor has it he is possibly going to take his talents to Hollywood. While he has yet to commit to the 2018 season, it appears that he has committed to shooting a movie.

According to a website with its finger on the pulse of Hollywood, Tracking Board, Gronk will be flexing his acting muscles alongside Mel Gibson and Frank Grillo in the new action movie called Boss Level.

Gibson is a well-known Hollywood icon who has starred and directed some of Hollywood’s best movies during his career (i.e., the Lethal Weapon series, Braveheart, etc.). Grillo isn’t as well-known, but fans will recognize him from movies like The Purge: Anarchy, The Purge: Election Year, and Zero Dark Thirty.  He has also worked on television for shows like Prison Break, The Shield, and Guiding Light.

Naomi Watts, Annabelle Wallis, and Will Sasso are also attached to the movie.

Not much is known about the movie just yet, but Grillo is expected to play a retired special forces veteran. His character gets stuck in a Groundhog Day type cycle that ends with him getting killed every day. Gronkowski’s role is not public knowledge at this time.
