Back in 2019, the New England Patriots' Super Bowl LIII trophy infamously got dented due to the playful acts of Rob Gronkowski. Two years later, the veteran tight end wanted to clear his name and posted a video on TikTok saying that former teammate Julian Edelman was the one to blame after throwing a pitch to him.

Gronk has receipts:

I still blame @edelman11official #throwback #2019 #flashback #ohno #dent 🏆⚾️ @espn @nfl

Of course, Gronk could have simply not tried to take a swing with the Lombardi Trophy, but how do you pass up that opportunity when a ball is flying at you? We can probably put some blame on both men in this hilarious scenario as they celebrated another Patriots Super Bowl win.

After a one-year absence away from football, Gronkowski found himself celebrating another Super Bowl victory in 2021. However, his Buccaneers never forgot about the incident and jokingly restricted him from touching their trophy after their blowout win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Despite hindering Gronkowski from putting their trophy in harm's way, quarterback Tom Brady still wildly celebrated with their newest crown jewel as he tossed the hardware across the Hillsborough River from one boat to another during their parade. Thankfully, the trophy was spared during their Super Bowl parade and didn't absorb any form of damage as compared to Gronkowski's previous Patriots incident.

However, similar to his longtime teammate, Brady also received criticism from the public, primarily from the daughter of the designer of the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Lorraine Grohs took the celebration as an insult and blatantly demanded an apology from the veteran quarterback.

Despite the clamor, it seems like Brady isn't bothered at all as long as he is having fun while enjoying the seventh Super Bowl victory of his career. After having a break, Tom Brady and his Buccaneers teammates will seek to hoist another trophy when they run it back and defend their title next season.
