The world has come to a halt in an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19. Regardless, that did not stop former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski from making his presence felt in the WWE.

Gronkowski defeated Mojo Rawley claimed the WWE's 24/7 Championship in front of zero fans:

It is safe to say that Gronkowski is thriving in post-retirement. He had served as the host of the event and even found a way to emerge with his very first WWE title belt.

There is no question that Gronkowski had the makings of a potential WWE superstar even during his playing career. Aside from establishing himself as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history, he was also one of the most charismatic players in the league. His persona and athleticism has seemingly helped make the transition into the entertainment industry.

Gronkowski made headlines with his decision to retire following the 2018 NFL season. Although he had no problem keeping himself busy without football, there had been plenty of speculation regarding his potential return. Fortunately, it appears he has fund another alternative to put his skill set to use without the taking on the same physical toll from his previous career.

Of course, it remains to be seen just how long Gronkowski will be able to hold on to his belt. Fortunately, he can take solace in the fact that he was able to add another item to a trophy case that is already filled with three Super Bowl rings.
