New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson is set to test the market as a free agent this offseason. He could very well have his eyes on how the uncertain future of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady plays out.

Anderson has spent his career going against Brady as an AFC East rival. According to ESPN's Rich Cimini, he actually dreamed the pair were on the same team:

“I just had a dream last night that we were on the same team,” Anderson said

Anderson added that he was unsure about the team he was playing for in the dream:

“The crazy thing is, I didn't see the team,” he said. “I didn't see like the actual colors of the jersey, but we were literally on the same practice field at practice together.”

Asked what it would be like to play with Brady, he said, “That would be a dream come true.”

Anderson's comments are certainly interesting considering his relationship with Brady as a divisional opponent. There is no question that the prospect of the pair linking up this offseason would undoubtedly be an intriguing one.

Anderson has not been shy about acknowledging the interest he has generated heading into the market as a free agent. Regardless, he is still adamant about his desire to get a deal done and stay with the Jets. Of course, his latest comments regarding the Patriots legend only help to put the rest of the league on notice.

Anderson will not need to do much self-promoting for a lucrative payday after finishing the 2019 NFL season with 52 receptions for 779 yards and five touchdowns. His skill set as a bona-fide deep threat would provide a boost to any receiving corps.

We'll just have to wait and see if he stays in New York or goes elsewhere, perhaps with Tom Brady.
