New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was adamant in saying that he will not retire after the Super Bowl against the Los Angeles Rams regardless of the result. But how much longer is the 41-year-old going to play? Based on what Patriots owner Robert Kraft said, it might be for a while.

When asked about potentially extending Brady's contract, Kraft had this to say:

“Well, think about it. The last three years we’ve been privileged to go to the Super Bowl with a quarterback in place,” Kraft said, according to Mark Daniels of The Providence Journal. “I would be quite surprised if he didn’t continue for quite a while as our quarterback.”

Kraft then said that the Patriots organization is very fortunate to have the incomparable tandem of Brady and head coach Bill Belichick:

“He and having the head coach that we have, and having Tom, there’s a unique symmetry there and chemistry and it carries over to the whole organization,” Kraft said. “I think we’re very lucky.”

That doesn't sound like a guy who is expecting the five-time Super Bowl-winning signal-caller to retire anytime soon.

Brady advanced to his ninth Super Bowl after leading the Patriots to a late comeback win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game two Sundays ago.

He is the only quarterback in NFL history with five Super Bowl titles and will have a chance to win his sixth this Sunday when he battles the Rams in the big game for a second time. Both Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw have four rings apiece.
