The New England Patriots have now earned a trip to their 10th Super Bowl appearance in franchise history with their victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Conference Championship. Needless to say, it has been an eventful 2017 NFL season for New England prior to their second consecutive trip to the Super Bowl.

At the start of the playoffs, there had been concerning reports about the rift happing within the Patriots organization. Although their Big 3 in owner Bob Kraft, head coach Bill Belichick, and star quarterback Tom Brady have refuted such reports, they have confirmed a bit of tension at times. However, Kraft said he will do his part in helping to keep the organization together during an interview on NFL Network Sunday:

“Well, whatever I can do, you know,” Kraft said. “In life, you know, the hardest thing is to surround yourself with quality people, even in a marriage if it’s your partner, and then having continuity. Life is difficult, especially if you’re doing things at a high level. … There’s a lot of strong-minded people, but when you have something good going, everybody’s got to get their egos checked in and try to hold it together.”

New England had done all they can to try and dissipate any notion of their trio butting heads, however, it seems there were too many claims to ignore. As a result, Kraft has all but solidified the fact that there have been a number of disagreements between Belichick and Brady.

That said, he would be wise to do all he can to keep the NFL's most prolific player/coach combo in league history together. Especially now that they are on the cusp of winning their sixth Super Bowl together.
