The NFL draft is right around the corner and every franchise is doing their due diligence to scout and find the right players to improve their rosters. Robert Kraft's New England Patriots have built a reputation of being the example for the last decade. Winning six Super Bowls, many other front offices have attempted to copy “the Patriot Way” to find similar success.

However, the past few years the Patriots have made some questionable decisions with their draft picks, and the owner, Robert Kraft, admits the fault of failing in the draft, which has led to the roster slowly diminishing, per Kevin Patra.

“Really, the teams who draft well are the ones who will be consistently good,” Kraft said. “I don't feel like we've done the greatest job the last few years and I really hope and believe I've seen a different approach this year. In the end, it all comes down to what happens on the field and how people execute and you really don't know how good a draft is for at least two years. Especially in the environment we're in now, I'm not quite sure still what our offseason training and learning abilities will be.”

The NFL draft is incredibly important for the future success of every team. However, Robert Kraft mentions how, “you really don't know how good a draft is for at least two years,” which is true. As important as the draft is, it's also a gamble as well. Superstars and duds are found within all seven rounds.

After struggling the last few years in the NFL draft, the Patriots hope to get back on track and hit this year's draft out of the park.
