The New England Patriots have had plenty of success under Bill Belichick over the years and his sons are beginning to carve out roles with the organization. Heading into the final week of the season, Steve Belichick provided some interesting insight on Brian Belichick.

“He brings a lot of stuff,” Steve said, via NESN.com’s Doug Kyed. “He kind of has a little more of an intellectual point of view than I have, so we feed off each other. I rely on him a lot to help me out with a bunch of different stuff. He helps me out a lot. Hopefully, I teach him a couple things.”

As the season has progressed, many have come to the conclusion that Steve is New England's de facto defensive coordinator. Steve, the safeties coach for the Patriots, has spent eight years with the franchise and appears to be seeing an increased role in 2019.

On the other hand, Brian has been with New England for four seasons and works behind the scenes. Brian joined the Patriots as a scouting assistant in 2016 but has since been promoted to a coaching assistant.

Of course, Bill still has the ultimate say on most matters on the team. But his two sons are becoming to mold into reliable staff members for the Patriots.

At 67-years-old, Bill could be nearing an end to his legendary coaching career with the Patriots. Nevertheless, it seems that New England has two more Belichicks to carry the torch once Bill decides to walk away from coaching.
