Through the first 10 weeks of the season, New England Patriots Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski has struggled with his health to stay on the field.

This has also impacted his play on the field as Gronkowski that has become a bit more clearer as quarterback Tom Brady has admitted that the team doesn't run certain plays for him at this point. (h/t Tyler Sullivan of 247 Sports)

“When he's not there, there's just a different level with other players,” Brady said. “Sometimes we don't try some things because Gronk's not in there, sometimes we do. Obviously the more dependable, consistent players you have on the field, the more productive and efficient you'll be which leads to scoring more points, which leads to better opportunities to win the game, which is ultimately the reason why we're all here. You know, just understanding what we all do well consistently and to try to do those things over and over again makes for a successful team.”

Although it may have been a subtle indication, the decline in Gronkowski's play has become more evident by his teammates. He has struggled with injuries throughout his career and these issues are once again flaring up with back problems along with a bothersome ankle ailment.

In seven games played, the 29-year-old has hauled in 29 receptions for 448 receiving yards and one touchdown this season. This has seen him tally over 100 receiving yards just once this season, which came in the season opener against the Houston Texans. There has been just been a more notable drop off in production as the year has worn while he is also on the mend having missed the last three games.

Gronkowski will have a chance to work his way back in the fold for the Patriots as the Week 11 bye will give him time to recover and get ready for a possible return in Week 12.
