New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is just a couple of days from entering his 18th season in the NFL.

Despite his career nearing closer to two decades in the league, Brady expressed that he still has jitters heading into Thursday's season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN.

“There will definitely be nerves and being anxious, but that’s part of football,” Brady said Monday after practice. “Once you get out there and get going, those things calm down.”

This is a common feeling for any player regardless of any level of experience given that it's the embarking of another NFL season. There are plenty of emotions heading into that respective campaign, especially for Brady as he's in the latter portion of his career. It's worth noting that the Patriots have won their last eight home openers in Week 1 with Brady at the helm.
The 40-year-old is still playing at elite level coming off one of his most productive season throwing for 3,554 yards on 67.4 percent completion rate with 28 touchdown passes, two interceptions, and a career-high 112.2 passer rating. This includes setting the league-best mark for the touchdown-to-interception ratio.
It could become the most critical season of Brady's career given his age and how many seasons he has played up to this point.
