As the New England Patriots have faltered on the offensive side of the ball, Tom Brady has looked a bit off with his throws. Ahead of New England's playoff contest on Saturday, Brady explained how he is correcting his throwing mechanics.

“I wish they were perfect every week, and I do think some things — sometimes you get a little off and you’ve got to just go back to the fundamentals and study some mechanics and stuff like that,” Brady said Thursday via Henry McKenna. “I try to focus on that every week, some weeks a little more than others. It’s a game of skill, it’s a game of technique.”

In the final week of the regular season, Brady's timing with his wide receivers against the Miami Dolphins was concerning. Tom Brady managed to complete only 16 of his 29 attempts for 221 yards, two scores, and an interception.

Due to the offense's inability to efficiently move the ball, the Dolphins upset the Patriots at home. Over the course of the entire season, Tom Brady has completed just 60.8 percent of his attempts. That is Brady's lowest completion percentage since 2013 season.

The lack of reliable weapons in the offense is definitely part of the blame for Brady's struggles. But at the same time, the 42-year-old quarterback also understands that he has to be better.

There's no doubt that Tom Brady is going to put in the extra work to get his mechanics right. It's going to be up to his pass-catchers to get on the same page as him if the Patriots want to be playing in Miami in February.
