Following the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII, the New England Patriots head into the NFL offseason with a 40-year-old quarterback still at the top of his game and a veteran head coach still hungry for more opportunity to add to his trophy case.

Although most NFL players never reach 40 during their playing days, Tom Brady is still going strong and now he's officially set to be the only player from the 2000 NFL Draft to still be with the same team that drafted him, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.

With the Oakland Raiders telling kicker Sebastian Janikowski that they don't plan to bring him back in 2018, just one player from the 2000 draft will remain with the team that drafted him. The player: New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

Earlier this week, the Raiders informed Janikowski that he would be released by the team after 18 seasons in Oakland. Like Brady, Janikowski was still a productive player and still intends to continue his NFL career following his release with his 40th birthday approaching in March.

As for Brady, there's no telling what the future holds for the superstar quarterback. The perennial Pro Bowler is still widely considered to be the best player in the league at his position and has shown no signs of slowing down even at his age.

Brady has said that he'd like to continue playing as long as he can and may stick around until he's 45. It remains to be seen if he's able to do that and if he's still wearing a Patriots jersey when he decides to call it a career.
