Tom Brady is keeping an eye on his former teammates with the New England Patriots despite recently signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It was rightfully earned for Gilmore, who earned two First Team All-Pro Selections the last two seasons as well as the 2019 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. In the 2019 season, he managed six interceptions and a league-high 20 pass breakups.

Gilmore was even surprised by his wife Gabrielle and his daughter Giselle when he arrived home and gave him an EA Sports gift package. The gift came with a fancy 99 gold chain and a plague to celebrate the occasion.

When Stephon Gilmore was announced to be one of four players with the coveted 99 rating in the upcoming Madden 21 game, Brady was quick to give a reply in Gilmore's Instagram post.

Before Gilmore, Brady was actually the Patriots' most recent player to get the 99 rating bragging rights when he got it in the Madden 19 version. But the 42-year old still maintains a highly respectable 90 rating for the upcoming game.

It would be good fun to see Brady's offense match up against Gilmore's defense when they face each other on the NFL field.

It's no surprise Brady is showing some love for a team close to his heart. After all, he did play with the Patriots for nearly two decades. In Brady's time with the Patriots, he won six Super Bowl championships and three NFL Most Valuable Player awards.

The other three players that will get the 99 rating in Madden 21 are Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald, and Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey.
