Following the New England Patriots’ 43-0 victory over the Miami Dolphins in Week 2 of the NFL regular season, thoughts of a perfect season are starting to pop up. Although the questions are being asked, quarterback Tom Brady says that the team’s goal is simply to just win the game in front of them.

“So, I’m not thinking about anything more than 3-0 because that’s the only thing that matters,” Brady said during an appearance on WEEI (via Pro Football Talk). “That’s what we got this week. Today, wake up and I’m thinking about the Jets and how they’re going to attack us and how we need to attack them. It’s going to ebb and flow over the course of the whole season. There are big challenges ahead and to take your eye off what’s really important is a disservice to the team and we’re not doing that.”

Although the team has looked incredible throughout its first two games, it is only the second week of the NFL season. Still, the Patriots have so far outscored their opponents 76-3 in those two games, so it’s fair to think about just what it would take for them to lose a game.

With a stellar offense and a dominant defense, it might be tough for New England to be brought down, at least until later in the year.

The Patriots came into the 2019 NFL season with a fairly easy schedule, as it was ranked easiest in the league according to most. New England will play two more divisional opponents – the Jets and Bills – before heading to Washington and playing a Redskins team that is also 0-2.

Should any team start to give them trouble, it likely won’t be until late October, when the Patriots have a stretch of play against teams like the Browns, Ravens, Eagles, and Cowboys. If they can get through that tough period unscathed, however, it wouldn’t be too shocking to see them run the table.
