Tom Brady is all for Colin Kaepernick getting a job again in the NFL. The New England Patriots quarterback was asked about his opinion about the former San Francisco 49ers signal-caller in an interview with “CBS This Morning,” and had nothing but supportive words for the currently unemployed Kaepernick.

“I sure hope so. I’ve always watched him and admired him, the way that he’s played. He was a great young quarterback. He came to our stadium and beat us and took his team to the Super Bowl in 2012. He accomplished a lot in the pros as a player. And he’s certainly qualified, and I hope he gets a shot.”

Kaepernick has been a constant subject of news headlines these days despite not being on any NFL team’s roster largely because of his social campaigns against police brutality and racial injustices he’s observed in the country. Unfortunately for the dual-threat quarterback, it has seemingly cost him an NFL contract as no team has yet to sign him.

Brady and Kaepernick have met twice in their careers. The most recent one was in a 30-17 Patriots win in November of last year. The other one was the more memorable one when Kaepernick passed for 221 yards with four touchdowns and an interception in a 41-34 victory over New England in Foxborough in 2012.
