It is no secret that there is quite an age difference between the quarterbacks in both of this year's title games. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady insists that he and New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees are well-aware of how time flies.

There is no question that a lot has changed since they were making their conference championship debuts. According to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk, Brady is happy to see another fellow veteran still competing after all these years:

“Well, I was that age at one point, too. I mean, I remember pretty well — it’s a little while ago, but I still remember it — my first playoffs and having the experience to go to the AFC Championship game. It was different. I flew to Pittsburgh to do a press conference with Lawyer Milloy on Friday and waited for the team to come on Saturday. It was a little bit different. But, it goes fast and I’m sure it will go fast for them and their young career. Jared and Patrick have had great seasons, great offenses. And we’re still here plugging around, me and Drew, doing our thing, having a lot of fun doing it.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Brady's comments. Despite being in the final phases of their career, both have still managed to play at a high level. Brady was able to earn MVP honors en route to another Super Bowl appearance last season. Brees has a very good chance to carry the torch after an MVP-caliber season of his own this year.

For now, it is safe to assume they would rather get back to the Super Bowl. Brady and Brees will be taking on two young, gunslingers in Jared Goff and Patrick Mahomes this weekend. Both players had also been mentioned in the MVP conversation throughout the 2018 campaign as well after leading their teams to stellar finished. It will be interesting to see if experience prevails over youth this time around.
