Tom Brady and Julian Edelman have been like brothers in their time playing together for the New England Patriots, and the future Hall of Fame quarterback spoke on that kinship Saturday.

On a roster that has been notorious for shifting around its offensive weapons, Edelman has been the most consistent wide receiver target in Brady's career.

Edelman has been apart of two NFL Championships with Brady, and missed last year's trip due to a season-ending ACL injury. The pair are set to bring another ring home to Foxborough against the Los Angeles Rams on Feb. 2.

The three-time league MVP believes he and Edelman have a bond that is very unique between an NFL quarterback and a wide receiver (h/t Nick O'Malley of MassLive.com).

“He’s always been kind of like my little brother…In a good way,” Brady said. “I don’t have a little brother but, he’s kind of like a little brother. He knows how much I love him.”

The 32-year-old pass catcher has played 14 games (12 regular season and two in the playoffs), Edelman has totaled 1,097 receiving yards. That’s a 16-game pace of 1,253 yards, which would have ranked 13th among all pass-catchers in 2018, per Kevin Duffy of the Boston Herald.

“What he’s done with his career is incredible,” Brady told O'Malley. “He’s so impressive as a player, as a leader. To go from playing quarterback in college to receiver in the pros — and to become really a dominant receiver, I think, speaks to his work ethic. I’m just so happy, in everything he achieves. Obviously I can’t say enough good things about Jules.”

Tom Brady will be gunning for his sixth NFL ring next Sunday, with Edelman back as his top receiving option next to tight end Rob Gronkowski.
