In preparation for the Sunday's AFC Championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots, Tom Brady is already thinking about a change of the normal game plan when it comes to facing the Chiefs.

When asked about the game plan, the 19-year pro said this, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk:

“I think situationally, however the game is going, I think sometimes you get in the games and offensively you’re doing really well and you feel like if we have that extra down, we can get it. Sometimes it’s not going as well and you feel like they’ve been stopping us and then you punt.”.

Brady, who has been there and done that in respect to the NFL playoffs will use his own experience to manage the game.

He continued with this:

“Whatever the situation presents, I think we’ll try to do what’s best or what we think is best or gives us the best opportunity to win. It’s one game. If you don’t win, that’s it. That’s what the playoffs are about. They’ve got a great offense. We’re going to need to score a lot of points.”

The Chiefs offense behind second-year QB Patrick Mahomes will certainly present some challenges given their ability to score at a high level, but Brady should obviously give the Patriots plenty of scoring as well.

We will find out if Brady and the Patriots are forced to play catch up with the Chiefs this Sunday on CBS in the AFC Championship game.
