Since being acquired by the New England Patriots, former Pro Bowl wide receiver Josh Gordon has continued to make a major impact in the passing game for his new team.

Within that process, star quarterback Tom Brady has continued to voice high praise toward Gordon for what he brings to the table and how he has quickly fit into the fold. (h/t Tyler Sullivan of 247 Sports)

“I just think it's so impressive, in my view, what he's done in a short period of time and how he's assumed this specific role in our offense,” Brady said of Gordon. “Last week – I don’t know how much participation it was – but it was a lot. That's a very challenging thing to do. The receiver position in our offense takes years for most guys to understand and learn nuances and intricacies of not only our plays, but how to get open within the scheme, how to gain my trust, and he's done it in such a short period of time.”

Gordon has continued to see involvement in the passing game with him notching 13 catches on 22 targets for 224 receiving yards and a touchdown. In the last two games, he has notched at least four receptions and more than 40 receiving yards in each contest. He is coming off arguably his best outing with the team notching four catches for 100 receiving yards.

The 27-year-old has become a key part of the passing game with his ability to stretch the field with his big-play ability that has brought another major element to the offense. He has emerged as a primary option for Brady that has depended to a greater degree with each passing week. Gordon has helped the team notch 38 or more points in each of the last four straight games.

With Gordon in the fold, the Patriots have another element to the offense that could help the team compete for a Super Bowl this season.
