Death, taxes, and Tom Brady being good at football are the three guarantees in life. Recently, there has been some question marks surrounding his future with the New England Patriots, but that hasn't shifted his focus.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future with the Patriots, Brady still plans to play until he's 45 years old. At this point, Brady could say he is playing until he is 60 years old and we'd all believe him.

At 42 years old, Brady is the oldest non-kicker in the NFL, but he isn't ready to contemplate retirement just yet. The future Hall of Fame quarterback realizes just how much it takes to prepare himself each and every season.

“It’s a big commitment and it’s a lot of time and energy I put into getting ready for practice, post-practice treatment,” Brady said. “The mental part of the game is not the challenge. It’s just really working hard to keep my body in physical preparation, physical shape. I’m not a robot. It’s a lot of time and energy to prepare myself and my body to play. I love doing that, and I think that’s why I’ve been very fortunate to play as long as I have.”

In 2019, Brady is beginning to look even younger than he did just five years ago. Similarly to five years ago, Brady is coming off yet another Super Bowl victory.

During training camp, New England handed Brady an extension as he entered the last year of his current deal in 2019. However, his extension is complex where the last two years on the extension are voided. Thus, making it a possibility that Brady hits free agency for the first time in his career.

The Patriots quarterback also put his Boston home on the market to cause even more concern for fans in Foxborough. Brady has since said that people shouldn't read too much into it as he “loves building houses.”

The ageless wonder will have to wait to pursue his post-football career until after 2022—at the earliest.
