The New England Patriots made the big-splash acquisition earlier this week, landing Cleveland Browns star wide receiver Josh Gordon.

There are tremendous expectations for Gordon in New England, as many hope he can provide Hall of Famer Randy Moss' level of production during his tenure with the team. During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, former Patriots great Vince Wilfork voiced that he believes Gordon can push toward that level of production if he sticks to the work ethic and culture laid out by the organization.

“Hey, he has the attributes. I mean. Randy Moss, you are talking about a Hall of Famer that did some stuff that a lot of wide receivers didn't do. That's some big shoes to fill, but if you're a receiver that wants to be one of the best you should model your game after that. It's going to up to him to take this and run with it, but he is in the prime position to win and play with the greatest quarterback of all-time and bring another Super Bowl back to Boston.”

There is plenty of pressure on Gordon's plate before his career with the Patriots has gotten underway, but he has already shown that he has the talent and ability to become one of the league's best talents at his position. His personal life with poor decisions is what has put his NFL career in jeopardy.

Things were beginning to become a little unraveled with the Browns, but this chance to play with a structured organization with high standards could be what Gordon needs to get the most out of his talents on the field while keeping him in order off the field as well. There are many different elements involved, but he is yet to play for a franchise where everything is organized and strictly set in place.

Only time will tell if he will be able to fully take advantage of this opportunity in what could be his final real shot to sustain a long NFL career.
