Former New England Patriots teammates quarterback Tom Brady and wide receiver Antonio Brown share one major thing in common: they're both NFL free agents.

Brady's, 42, pending free agency has been the top talk of the league in the last several months, with doubt casting over a presumptive reunion with the Patriots. The 31-year-old Brown, who was released by the then-Oakland Raiders in early Sept. 2019 and scooped up by New England, only appeared in one game during the seven-time Pro-Bowler's 2019 campaign, coincidentally for the Patriots.

Following their great and “successful” tenure together—Brown caught four passes from Brady for 56 yards and a touchdown—one report surfaced this week says the two Patriots teammates have been in contact about playing together again.

Per Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano in ESPN, via Patriots Wire:

“Ready for a wild audible? Two people close to Antonio Brown — yes, that Antonio Brown — told us Brady keeps in consistent contact with Brown and has told Brown he wants to play with him wherever Brady goes next.

“According to one of Brown’s attorneys, Brady has told Brown to keep mentally and physically strong so the two can reunite on the field at Brady’s next stop. Anything concerning Brown should be taken with not a grain but a bucket of salt at this point, but it does seem as if Brady and Brown formed at least some level of connection in their incredibly brief time together in New England.”

Brady has garnered interest from multiple teams, with the newly relocated Las Vegas Raiders emerging as a contender for the six-time Super Bowl champion free-agent quarterback. How likely would the Raiders organization welcome an Antonio Brown reunion, though?
