The 2018 season has featured plenty of ups and downs for New England Patriots Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski that has featured plenty of issues concerning nagging health problems.

Things have appeared to turn a corner physically as Gronkowski has been able to play in the last two consecutive games where he has been somewhat of a factor in the passing game. Now that he has been able to return to the field, the 29-year-old voiced that he believes he can be a bigger factor in the offense, according to Ryan Hannable of WEEI.

“That’s a tough question a little bit,” he said to reporters. “I feel like obviously I can be more effective for sure. But what I’ve been doing is just putting practices together, just been working hard, just been doing what I’ve been asked to do from my teammates, coaches.”

Gronkowski added: “I can grow in the pass game. I can grow in the run game even more at times. Just whatever it is, just got to go out there and play my best football.”

Gronkowski has been limited in his production in his first two games back as he has notched six receptions for 86 receiving yards and touchdowns. He was limited to just three catches on four targets for 26 receiving yards against the Minnesota Vikings, which marked his fourth performance with fewer than 50 receiving yards in nine games played.

There has been some growing chatter that Gronkowski's best days behind them because of his declined production, which has primarily focused his lack of effectiveness in the red zone with just two touchdowns this season. This is a notion that he hasn't been able to shake due to missing three games this season because of nagging ankle and back issues.

Gronkowski will have the final month of the season to work himself back into form while potential play a big factor in the playoffs.
