Well that didn't take long. The New England Patriots have a new QB in town after they signed Cam Newton, and wide receiver Mohamed Sanu was first in line to greet the 2015 MVP in training.

The two were seen taking the field together for the very first time on Tuesday to the delight of Patriot fans.

Sanu didn't hold back his excitement when he first found out the news that his team just signed Newton. The 30-year old wide receiver was delighted to have a new offensive partner and described how much of a positive impact the QB would have with the Patriots.

“I think it's great. I mean it's Cam Newton. He can help the team in so many ways,” Sanu told Josina Anderson.

Both Mohamed Sanu and Cam Newton are looking forward to proving a lot come the 2020 NFL Season.

Sanu had a tough outing last year after an ankle surgery dampened his debut season with the Patriots. He had ankle surgery this offseason and seems to be on track for a strong comeback this 2020.

Newton, on the other hand, just landed a one-year deal with the Patriots after being released by the Carolina Panthers earlier this year. The three-time Pro Bowler has had himself quite the traumatic offseason, as he struggled to find a team willing to sign him, mainly due to doubts about his health.

Certainly, a lot is on the line for both Sanu and Newton and it's going to be exciting to see how this new Patriots tandem unfolds.
