The New England Patriots have done a masterful job of dismantling the New York Jets' offense. They are adamant about checking all the boxes a defense possibly can in Week 7 of the 2019 NFL season.

This group was finally able to score itself by forcing a safety on a bad snap to quarterback Sam Darnold, via The Checkdown:

To say that the Patriots have momentum on their side would be a massive understatement. At this point, it is safe to say that this elite defense has forged out their own luck.

Meanwhile, the nightmare continues for Darnold following a disastrous start to the game. Any attempts to show signs of life have been negated by his questionable decisions that have resulted in throws that landed in the arms of New England defenders more often than not.

The Patriots will now be looking to put the finishing touches on perhaps one of the greatest overall defensive showings in recent NFL history.
