With the New England Patriots cutting Antonio Brown this past week, Josh Gordon was left to pick up the slack. After making a remarkable catch in traffic, Gordon seems to be doing just that. On a long third down, Gordon was able to haul in the ball and tip-toe the sideline to stay in bounds.

With Julian Edelman reportedly suffering a chest contusion after a catch in the first half against the New York Jets and questionable to return, Gordon, along with Phillip Dorsett, will have to step up in his absence.

Although the Patriots seem to be rolling against the Jets, Gordon's progression into one of Tom Brady's favorite targets will be interesting to look at throughout the rest of the game.

If he is able to make these extraordinary catches on third down routinely, the Patriots offense can become even scarier, if that is even possible.
