New England Patriots running back Rex Burkhead dove into the end zone for a touchdown late in the first half against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Burkhead received a quick pass from quarterback Cam Newton before driving it through the defense for the eventual score. The touchdown gave the Patriots a 13-3 lead going into the finals seconds of the half. The Raiders responded however, with a Derek Carr-thrown touchdown pass to Foster Moreau with only six seconds left remaining in the quarter.

The score is now 13-10 as the Patriots lead going into the half. Carr leads the quarterback battle against Newton with eight passes completed from twelve attempts to go along with one touchdown. Newton has completed 10-of-19 passes for 90 yards with one touchdown as well, but he also has one interception.

Burkhead has shared the wealth in the rushing game with fellow back J.J. Taylor and Sony Michel, who have both combined for 62 rushing yards at halftime.
