The New England Patriots were looking to create some distance against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 15 with the offense struggling. Fortunately, cornerback Stephon Gilmore was able to oblige in spectacular fashion once again.

Gilmore managed to pick off quarterback Andy Dalton for the second time before taking it 64 yards the other for a touchdown, via NFL Twitter:

Gilmore has made a solid case as the best cornerback in the NFL and these type of plays only serve to solidify this notion. Teams seldom go his way in the passing game and it is easy to see why with his ability to make them pay.

It is no secret that the Patriots are desperate to get back on track following their recent two-game skid and this favorable matchup versus a one-win Bengals team appears to be doing the trick on both sides of the ball.

Now that New England has created some distance, the onus will fall on the offense to use this matchup to find a rhythm.
