Patty Mills is somewhat of a scorer off the bench for the San Antonio Spurs.

He occasionally starts if Tony Parker is out for a game, but his main job is to provide scoring from the bench.

Mills has developed some chemistry with newcomer Dewayne Dedmon, which is different than his normal course of play. That comes in the form of a pick-and-roll which ends up in an alley-oop.

They've done this quite a bit together this season so Mills is able to get plenty of practice. Wednesday night, the Aussie point guard had a chance to score a layup at the end of the 1st quarter but instead threw a high lob off the glass to teammate Jonathon Simmons as the defense trailed.

Simmons caught the ball as it ricocheted back to him and softly laid it in the bucket as time expired.

Mills' exciting assist is below if you missed it.
