The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are fresh off of a disappointing loss to the Michigan Wolverines this past weekend. Now, there are some that think the Fighting Irish are in need of a change on the sidelines.

Brian Kelly has been the head coach at Notre Dame since the 2010 season and has had quite a bit of success. Unfortunately, he has yet to lead the Irish to a National Championship win. He has made it to the big game, but has been unable to lead the team to the coveted victory.

Now, college football analyst Paul Finebaum is calling for change. He thinks the Irish should replace Kelly with former Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer.

Meyer has been a very popular free agent coaching option over the last few months. He has been rumored to be a potential candidate for the Florida State coaching job if they choose to move on from Willie Taggart. Notre Dame would certainly be a tough job to pass up if they offered it to him.

Throughout his career, most notably with the Buckeyes and Florida Gators, Meyer has been one of the best coaches in college football. He has racked up a 187-32 record and has won three National Championships. Meyer has also been known as one of college football's best recruiting head coaches.

Notre Dame isn't too far away from competing for another title and bringing in a guy like Meyer could be exactly what the doctor ordered.

Expect to hear more rumblings surrounding Notre Dame as the season continues. If they lose another game or two, a coaching change could be in the cards for the team.
