The Indiana Pacers may still be holding on to a playoff spot right now, but for the past seven weeks, they have not been playing well, to say the least. The team has lost 14 of their last 22 games, and is heading down the wrong direction with the playoffs nearing.

After another loss on Tuesday, Paul George was visibly upset during a post game interview and called out his teammates, via Nate Taylor of the Indy Star, following their defeat against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 26-year-old Fresno State product said he was pissed and admitted that he thinks the Pacers played without any sense of urgency.

“Pissed. I know I was pissed. It’s the only to really sum it up.”

“We should have a professional approach, man, and defend our home court, especially to a team that’s not even in the playoffs. That’s what it comes down to. As a team, we’ve got to have a grit and we’ve got to own up, man up.”

“There’s no urgency, no sense of urgency, no winning pride. This locker room is just not pissed off enough.”

The loss was their 37th in 74 games this season, and with the Miami Heat winning on the night, they are only one game ahead of them and are in danger of missing out on the postseason if they do not get back to their winning ways immediately.

It gets even tougher for them as their next three games are on the road facing playoff-bound teams in the Memphis Grizzlies, Toronto Raptors, and Cleveland Cavaliers. Should they lose those matchups and not make the playoffs, it will add up to George's frustrations, which may lead to the end of his tenure in Indianapolis soon.
