Indiana Pacers star Paul George was ejected from Saturday night's game, after being called for a foul late in the third quarter.

The Pacers were leading the Chicago Bulls by a margin of 20 points when George fouled Jimmy Butler driving to the basket.

In a moment of frustration George kicked the basketball into the stands, hitting a fan in the face, but he immediately walked over to the woman to hug her and apologize.

The Pacers went on to win the game 111-94 despite George's modest 13 points and seven rebounds.

This was George's very first career ejection in his seven seasons with the Pacers.

After the game George was asked about the kicking incident.

“I meant to kick the ball against the mat, the stanchion, I guess. And my soccer skills isn't as good as I thought. I apologized to the people who I hit, and I'm glad my team was able to pick up this win and me not be at fault for the loss.”

Indeed, George's history suggests this won't be a problem for the Pacers in the future.
