There was never a question that Kobe Bryant was going to be the cover athlete for NBA 2K17's Legends Edition, but a number of rumored candidates were up in the air for the regular version's cover.

The official announcement is supposed to happen some time later today, but a leak occurred that appears to point to Paul George being their guy.

A pre-order listing, which has since been deleted, was on Sony's website yesterday showing the Pacers‘ All-Star on the game.

After missing most of the 2014-15 season with a horrific leg injury that he suffered during his time with Team USA, George bounced back with a vengeance, averaging 23.1 points, 7 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.
