Following a disappointing end of the season stint after being ruthlessly swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the playoffs, Indiana Pacers swingman Paul George plans to step up his summer workout routine by working with one of the most detailed partners in the history of the game — Kobe Bryant.

The Pacers star went on Jimmy Kimmel Live and was asked about potentially joining the Los Angeles Lakers, now that longtime friend Magic Johnson has become the president of basketball operations for the organization and clearly has intentions of bringing him to the franchise.

“I love Magic, great dude,” said George. “I know I'm gonna always get those ties. I'm an L.A. kid. Actually, at my home, Kobe is like the biggest person at my house, not even me.”

“I plan on working out with him and pick his brain a little bit.”

When asked if he was nervous to take a step up in his training regimen, George didn't shy away from admitting so, as it'll be this first time working out with The Black Mamba.

“Oh yeah, absolutely,” he said. “I'm training now to get ready to work out with him.”

Many players, most recently including Isaiah Thomas of the Boston Celtics have seen the benefits of Bryant's intellect and uncanny eye for detail — making him one of the premiere basketball minds for any NBA star willing to take tips from one of the best to ever play.

If George can pick up on Bryant's workman-like habits, dedication, and love for the craft of basketball, he could take his game to greater heights, whether he's playing in Indiana or L.A. next season.
