It is no secret that Kevin Durant has joined the Golden State Warriors and reaction around the league is mixed. Some players are happy to see a superstar make a bold decision to evolve as not only a person but also a plaayer, while others are outraged at the ‘death-lineup' concept in Oakland. One player who reacted to this in such a way is Paul Pierce. He tweeted this out after he heard of Durant's decision:

After reading this, another NBA star chimed in. Damian Lillard quoted Pierce's tweet:

You can't blame these players. They are competitors and feel as if they are put at a distinct disadvantage against this super-team. It's quite ironic since Pierce and his Celtics were the first to assemble a super-team in recent NBA history alongside Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Rajon Rondo

The majority of the NBA fanbase feels distraught about this move, some even more than the LeBron James decision. A huge shift of power is in effect and the NBA has seemingly turned into a 3-4 team race. Fans of teams who are in the middle of the pact really have no hope now that 4 of the top 15 players in the league are all on the same roster. Although a super-team has been assembled, it could make for a great story. Most fans now will be rooting against the Warriors as they have become the villains of a new era of basketball.
