The trade deadline has passed and Anthony Davis remained with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Two weeks after publicly demanding a trade, Davis played for the Pelicans post-trade deadline and helped them beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 122-117. He finished with 32 points and nine boards.

However, fans already know that they won't be having the All-Star forward for long. Feeling betrayed by their team's franchise player, the crowd booed AD everytime he touched the ball.

After the game, New Orleans' head coach Alvin Gentry had this to say to the fans are no longer rooting for AD.

Davis asked to be traded from the Pelicans after a disappointing season that saw the franchise just win 25 of its 56 games. They are the 13th spot in the Western Conference and are seemingly going nowhere.

AD's camp made it public, which created a lot of drama during the trade deadline. The Los Angeles Lakers tried to trade for Davis, but the Pelicans stood pat and kept him, despite a whopping offer from LA that includes six players and two picks.

Davis made it known beforehand that if he isn't traded, he intends to play the remainder of the season. The Pelicans thought of shutting him down, but the league office warned them of a $100,000 fine per game if they chose to sit out Davis, who isn't dealing with any injuries.

The fans are preparing to move on from AD, and expect them to do a lot worse once he leaves New Orleans.

If and when that happens, is still uncertain up to this point. But everyone can expect a sequel to this saga to happen this July.
