New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis made tons of headlines when he publicly demanded a trade two weeks ago. During that span, a lot of speculations and rumors were reported by several media outlets. Everybody wanted to know where the All-Star forward will end up, but the trade deadline passed last Thursday, and AD is still with the Pels.

It is obvious that Davis' relationship with the Pelicans' front office has been damaged after everything that happened. New Orleans thought about shutting him down for the remainder of the season, but that decision didn't suit well with NBA officials, who threatened to fine the Pelicans every game if they chose to sit out Davis even though he's healthy.

Despite everything that happened, AD seems to have no regrets.

The Pelicans could have traded Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers, but ultimately decided not to, despite a massive offer from LA that included six players and two draft picks. Their plan is to wait until the season is over, in order for other teams like the Boston Celtics to have a chance to negotiate with them.

As for Davis, he remained true to his words. When he said he wanted to be traded, he and his camp were hell bent on doing everything to make it happen. But he also said that if he isn't traded, he will play with the Pelicans for the remainder of the season, which he also did. He scored 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds to help New Orleans win 122-117 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

He seems to be confident with what he's doing, and also contented, regardless of the outcome.
