With all the impressive and dominating performances he’s had in his NBA career, it’s hard to imagine that Anthony Davis has not recorded a triple-double yet. However, on Sunday against the Utah Jazz, he was able to finally have one under his belt, as he notched the first of his pro career, right in time for his 25th birthday.

The Brow did it with a huge stat line as he finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds, 10 blocks, and added three assists, and three steals across his name. This huge game from Davis only goes to show how good he is on both ends of the floor, as he recorded a triple-double line that included a double-digit production in blocks.

With DeMarcus Cousins out for the remainder of the season, Davis has been the catalyst for the Pelicans, who has allowed them to be the fourth seed in the Western Conference with only 16 games left on their schedule. He has almost single-handedly carried the team in some games, and is continuing to play despite suffering different injuries.

The Pelicans may be the fourth-ranked team right now in the West, but only three-and-a-half games separate them from eighth place, which makes it very important for them to continue winning games at a high rate in order to not slip in the standings.

That said, it can be expected the Anthony Davis will be relied upon even more moving forward, as there is no doubt that he is the team’s best player, and will continue to be their focal point whether on offense or defense.
