New Orleans Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis is now likely to play for the team on Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets.

Anthony Davis missed Monday's showdown with the Minnesota Timberwolves due to an illness, but it seems like it would cost him only one game as the Pelicans listed him as probable for their visit to Barclays Center to play the Nets.

New Orleans won against the Timberwolves, marking the first time since December 6, 2017 that they won a game without Davis. Julius Randle (33 points and 11 rebounds) and Jrue Holiday (26 points and eight assists) led the way in the Pelicans' 123-114 victory.

Despite that though, the team would certainly welcome Davis' return to the starting lineup. They are starting to get fully healthy, with Elfrid Payton even returning the last time out for his first game since Nov.16.

Davis is New Orleans' best player, and while Alvin Gentry and Co. is learning to survive without him, they still need the 25-year-old big man if they want to fight for a playoff spot in the loaded Western Conference.

The Brow is currently averaging a team-high 27.7 points and 12.6 rebounds per game. He also leads the Pelicans in blocks and steals per contest, with 2.6 and 1.7 per contest.

The Pelicans hold a 17-21 record, 14th in the West.
