New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram will likely be on-pace to achieve a rather absurd feat in his second campaign with Zion Williamson. According to Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report, Ingram is putting up 23.8 points per game with an effective field goal percentage of 53.1 percent. Ingram's probably feeling some deja vu because he's putting up exactly the same numbers, right down to the decimal place.

Stop the count!

This is most likely going to hold for the remainder of the campaign given that the Pelicans star is out indefinitely with an ankle injury. With five games left on New Orleans' schedule, the 23-year old's 2020-21 season may very well be over.

If this all she wrote for Ingram's 5th year in the NBA, this is indeed going to be one of the more bonkers facts of his career. So, for the sake of basketball nerds out there, just sit out the rest of the season, Mr. Ingram.

In addition to Ingram's injury, the Pelicans also announced that franchise star Zion Williamson is also out indefinitely due to a fractured left ring finger.

The Pelicans likely won't have any incentive to rush their two stars back on the floor, as their chances of making the play-in tournament are dissipating as the regular season winds down. New Orleans is 3.5 games behind the no. 10 seed San Antonio Spurs with five games left to play. It's still technically possible, but the math doesn't favor them at this point already.

It's going to be a disappointing way to end the season for Brandon Ingram and the rest of the Pelicans, considering they had playoff aspirations at the start of the season. Nonetheless, at least he'll end the campaign with a cool feat.
