Brandon Ingram is set to face off against his former team for the first time on Wednesday night, when the Lakers meet the New Orleans Pelicans inside the Smoothie King Center.

Ingram came to the Pelicans by way of a trade with the Lakers this offseason. It was the same deal that sent Anthony Davis to Los Angeles. To acquire Davis, the Lakers gave up several members of its young core that was in place, including Ingram and draft picks.

Now that he's on his way with the Pelicans, Ingram says there is no bad blood with the Lakers:

“No bad blood,” Ingram said, via Mark Medina of USA Today. “Nothing but respect for the Lakers organization.”

Ingram is off to a fantastic start with the Pelicans. In fact, the former No. 2 overall pick is posting career-high marks in several statistical categories, including points, rebounds and assists.

In his 13 appearances this season (all starts), Ingram has racked up averages of 26.1 points on 50.6 percent shooting from the field (45.9 percent from beyond the arc), 7.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists and just under one block (0.9) in 32.9 minutes per outing.

Wednesday night's Pelicans-Lakers game is set to tip at 9:30 p.m. ET, with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.

Let's see what kind of performance Ingram puts up against his former team.
