New Orleans Pelicans small forward Brandon Ingram won the 2019-20 Most Improved Player of the Year Award.

Brandon Ingram averaged 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists for the Pelicans in 2019-20. He made his first All-Star team and shot 46.3 percent from the field, 39.1 percent from beyond the arc and 85.1 percent from the free-throw line.

In 2018-19 with the Los Angeles Lakers, Ingram put up 18.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists. So as you an see, Ingram increased his averages across the board.

The Pelicans are expected to sign Ingram to a max contract extension this offseason. The talented scorer becomes a restricted free agency once New Orleans offers him his qualifying offer.

Ingram and the Pelicans missed the 2020 playoffs after not playing well in the eight seeing games. New Orleans fired head coach Alvin Gentry after the seeding games ended.
