After productive stints with the Portland Trail Blazers, CJ McCollum can hit the reset button as he joins the New Orleans Pelicans. The high-scoring guard has been linked to trade rumors in the past few years, and finally, he will have a new zip code.

The Pelicans gave up Josh Hart, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Tomas Satoransky, Did Louzada, and three draft picks to acquire McCollum, along with Larry Nance Jr. and Tony Snell. Many NOLA fans were sad to see Hart go, especially with the way he's played this season. With all the injuries the Pelicans have suffered, Hart was arguably the team's most consistent player.

Pelicans center Willy Hernangomez was seemingly at a loss for words on Twitter in bidding Hart, Alexander-Walker, and his other teammates goodbye.

The classy act of Hart and Alexander-Walker on Tuesday night as the Pelicans took on the Houston Rockets only made things more difficult for fans (via ESPN).

Hart and Alexander-Walker showed up at the game, sitting next to each other in courtside seats. Hart wore a red Pelicans jersey with Ingram's no. 14 on it. The pair received an enthusiastic ovation from the crowd when shown together on the video board.

The acquisition of McCollum, however, is expected to be a huge boost for the Pelicans. He will add offensive firepower alongside star Brandon Ingram, as they await the return of forward Zion Williamson.

The Pelicans are on a four-game winning streak after beating the Rockets, 110-97.
